Puttur : Even as protests seeking justice in the Sowjanya rape and murder case continue, the accused in the case have moved the Kanattur Sri Nalvar Daivasthana in Kasargod district which is considered a la court for a truth test.
Dheeraj Kella, Uday Jain and Mallik Jain who are facing allegations in the case, have now served a notice to pro-Sowjanya activists Mahesh Shetty Timarody, Atradi Amritha Shetty, Sowjanya’s mother Kusumavathi, father Chandappa Gowda and uncle Vittal Gowda through Kanattur Kshetra and have asked them to appear for the truth test on January 19 at the Daivasthana.
Both the parties have to appear at the Kanattur Daivasthana on January 19 and the complainants must vow that they have not committed any wrong or those who have been served notices must reaffirm that they are saying the truth. Daivasthana chief said only the truth test can be made and there is no scope for any discussion on the issue.
Even Balakrishna Poojari who is facing the charges of killing Dinesh Gowda, a pro-Sowjanya activist in a case of deliberate accident, has served notices from Kanattur Kshetra to the deceased youth’s father Babi Gowda, Sowjanya’s mother Kusumavathi Babu Gowda and Mahesh Shetty Timarody to take the truth test.
