Prani Daya Sangha comes to rescue of misused animals

Bangalore: The Akhila Karnataka Prani Daya Sangha, an animal rights organization has approached the Koramangala police on Monday January 6, seeking protection to a camel and an elephant  which have been rescued by the forest officials but were being misused.

The head of Akhila Karnataka Prani Daya Sangha, Sunil Dugar in his statement to the police said that a camel and an elephant were rescued by officials of the Yelahanka forest range on January 2, however the animals were allegedly been used for the housewarming ceremony of a city-based businessman.

Range Forest Officer Govinda Raju  has said that elephant, belonging to the Taralabalu Mutt of Chitradurga, had been handed over to the math and the camel has been handed over to the Prani Daya Sangha.
