Mangalore:Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram has said that the struggle for justice in the Sowjanya case will continue until the government hands over the case to the CBI.

Speaking at a huge protest organised at Kinnigoli on October 31, Thursday, the seer said the movement for justice to Sowjanya should reach every corner of the state.
The seer also questioned the elected representatives for their silence on the issue and said so far only the Belthangady MLA Vasanth Bangera and Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty have spoken on the issue.
Vishnu Murthy of Nagarika Seva Trust questioned if the law is different for the rich and the poor. Sowjanya’s mother Kusumavati also spoke and sought support for the fight for justice.
Shopkeepers of the area downed their shutters for an hour as a mark of support to the protest. The participants also observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to Sowjanya’s soul.
Over one thousand people posed post cards to the Chief Minister seeking CBI probe into the case.
