Sandalwood Support Actor Chetan Rama Rao Hospitalized

Mysore: Chetan Rama Rao (75), veteran artist who has severed the industry over 50 years, has been admitted in Apollo Hospital due to prolonged illness .

 

Chethan has three daughters and residing at T K Layout, Mysore faces hardships to manage his family. Despite this, neither the state government nor Karnataka Chamber of Film Industry has come to the rescue of veteran sandalwood artiste.

He is suffering from hip, knee and stomach ailments who has spent all his meager savings on his medication. The surgeons advised further medication would cost over Rs 4 lac.

Chethans family says they have written letter to CM Siddaramaiah seeking financial support under CM’s Fund, but all in vain.

Chethan in his sandalwood career spanning 50 years entertained the movie-lovers but now lies in hospital.

He had acted with legendary actor Dr Rajkumar,Dr Vishnuvardan and other well known well known actors from Kannada filmdom. He had acted in several movies including Balubelagitu, Nagarahavu etc.
