Moodbidri:The State High Court has granted anticipatory bail to  seven persons in connection with the  case of shoot-out that was reported in Moodbidri on September25 following an altercation between advocate Shanthiprasad Hegde and student Tansir Ahmed. The anticipatory bail was granted on October 31, Thursday.

The Moodbidri Police had filed an FIR against advocate Shanthiprasad Hegde and Divyavarma in this case while  Prasad Kumar, Prashanth, Santosh Poojari, Ashok Jain and Ratnaker Devadiga were named accused.

The  accused had moved the High Court after their bail plea was rejected by the District Sessions Court. Even the  student Tansir Ahmed who has been named an accused in a counter complaint in this case, has been denied bail by the District Sessions Court.
