Bengaluru: Kia is giving its popular EV6 electric vehicle a refresh for 2024. The South Korean automaker unveiled a redesigned and upgraded version of the EV6 on Tuesday, boasting a fresh look, a more powerful battery, and a techier interior.

Following Kia’s “Modern Contrast” design philosophy, the new EV6 features a sleeker look with redesigned headlights and taillights incorporating the company’s signature Star Map lighting design. Newly designed wing-shaped bumpers further enhance the EV6’s sporty character.

The biggest upgrade lies under the hood, or rather, under the floor. The new EV6 comes equipped with a fourth-generation 84 kWh battery, a bump from the previous model’s 77.4 kWh capacity. This translates to a longer range, with the long-range two-wheel drive variant now capable of traveling up to 494 kilometers on a single charge, an improvement of 19 kilometers compared to its predecessor.

The interior of the revamped EV6 gets a tech makeover as well. Drivers will be greeted by a larger panoramic curved display, while dynamic ambient lighting adds a touch of personalization.

Kia has already begun accepting pre-orders for the new EV6, with a scheduled release next month. The upgraded electric SUV promises a more stylish, powerful, and tech-savvy driving experience for those looking to make the switch to electric vehicles.
