Mysore : The cultural city of Mysore is grief stricken following the demise of Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the last scion of the Mysore royal family who passed away on December 10, Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. Meanwhile, traders have downed their shutters since Tuesday and are observing a voluntary bundh in respect of the departed royal leader. Roads of the city are wearing a deserted look and an uneasy silence pervades the city.
Several people were seen offering their tributes to Wadiyar holding portraits of the royal scion in their hands. Peace marches are also held.Traders are observing a bundh in various areas including Tyagaraja Road, Ramanuja Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road.
