Bantwal : Kalladka town in Bantwal observed a bundh on Friday April 11 in the aftermath of the alleged group attack on a youth on the night of Thursday April 10. The attack even led to a group clash wherein the warring factions reportedly hurled soda bottles and stones at each other. Two teams of KSRP stationed in the town, resorted to lathi charge to control the mob.
Traders in Kalladka and nearby places had downed their shutters soon after the incident. It is said that stones were also pelted at several vehicles. Three people were injured and two vehicles plying from Kalladka to Vittal were damaged in the stone pelting. The injured are identified as Ayyappa devotees Suresh (32), Sadashiva (39) and Satish (30). They were admitted to Vittal general hospital. It is said that fifteen people from Kottigehara of Moodigere in Chikmagalur were travelling in the Toofan vehicle of Ayyappa devotees. Some other vehicles were also said to have been damaged during the stoning.










The situation in Kalladka is presently said to be under control. Precautionary measures are in place, said Circle Inspector Rajashekhar Mistry.
