Mangalore:A huge protest was staged in front of the Deputy Commissioners office in Mangalore on November 1, Friday on behalf of the CITU and Forum for Atrocities against Women demanding a CBI probe into Sowjanya rape and murder case.






Protestors who staged a black flag demonstration intended to picket the Kannada Rajyotsava programme being held at Nehru Maidan on behalf of the District administration.
However, the police thwarted their attempts by arresting them. The protestors were even heard shouting slogans against the state government and also demanding arrest of the real culprits behind the case.
DYFI District President Muneer Katipalla and several other agitators were arrested.
