Seattle: Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, on Monday said that he plans on fighting aggressively to overcome his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which he had previously defeated nine years ago.
This disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a type of cancer which originates in the lymphatic system, the body’s immune system.
He said that since he had overcome the disease in 2009, the doctors at Mayo Clinic medical centre are very positive in him doing so again.
Allen, on Monday also said that he planned on remaining involved with Seattle-based Vulcan Inc, which he formed in 1986. His other investments include ownership stakes in NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers, NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer. He also is a major benefactor to Seattle with fundings in everything from libraries to universities that perform brain research.
Allen was previously ranked 44th on Forbes magazine’s 2018 list of billionaires with an estimated fortune of $ 20.5 billion
