Islamabad: Misba Ul Haq to Continue Playing in One-Day Cricket

Islamabad: Pakistani cricket captain Misba Ul Haq who is in tremendous pressure after losing the one-day series in South Africa, clarified that he will not retire from one-day cricket.

Misba was criticized for playing slow game in one-day cricket.  Pakistani Cricket Board also thinking of replacing Misba in the national team.

‘I have discussed this issue with all cricketers.  Everyone agreed to play positive cricket, shunning the fear of losing the wickets,’ said Misba.

‘Everyone advised me to be positive while batting focusing on runs.  I have no intention to return to 20-20 national team. I have changed my batting style to continue in one-day cricket,’ said Misba.

Thirty-eight-year-old Misba has been the captain for national test team since 2010 and one-day cricket team since 2011.  He was showered with criticisms after Pakistan lost test series for 0-3 and one-day series for 2-3 in South Africa.
