The agitation over Cauvery seems to have affected films in Sandalwood. Most of the films postponed their release, which has resulted in large number of releases in October.
According to sources, “Jaguar” will release on October 6. The very next day, “Dana Kayonu” and “Idolle Ramayana” are releasing. A week later on October 14 “Badmaash” and “Nagarahavu” are expected to release.

On October 21, Sharan’s “Nataraja Service” has been announced. The following which is the important Deepawali weekend, Yash’s “Santhu Straight Forward” is expected to release.

With so many releases, viewers will be split for choice. Along with these, big budget Hindi and Telugu films are also releasing. This may result in shortage of screens for some of these films.

Seeing so many releases, we may see some mid budget films shifting their dates, as it is better to release during a time when they have good number of screens.
