Byndoor: Hombale Films will officially announce all details regarding the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster Kannada film, Kantara,said  actor and director Rishab Shetty, who is also reprising his lead role in the film.

He revealed that the shooting has already begun and is progressing smoothly. He stated that everything is going according to plan and that the team is working with a larger scale and responsibility compared to the first film.

Speaking to reporters in Baindur, Shetty expressed his gratitude to Hombale Production House for their support. He praised the exceptional technicians working on the film and mentioned that the shooting is progressing continuously, part by part.

Appreciating the audience’s love for Kantara, Shetty said that he is determined to prove his worth through his work rather than making verbal promises. He emphasized that he is not feeling any pressure, unlike the first film, and that he is treating filmmaking as a learning process.

Shetty revealed that he has been growing his hair for a year for the film. He added that the set will be open to the public for a day after the completion of the shooting. He stressed the importance of maintaining secrecy until the film’s release, stating that spoilers are rampant and that he wants to keep the audience’s expectations in check.

The shooting of Kantara 2 is taking place entirely in the coastal region, Shetty informed.
