Sathish Ninasam starrer ‘Chambal’ which has been on news for having similarities with the life of IAS officer DK Ravi, who died in mysterious circumstances, is out in cinema halls near you.

The film is about Subhash, an IAS officer posted as the deputy commissioner. He is upright and courageous which makes him a favourite among people. However, he also becomes a threat to people dealing in illegal activities. Subhash decides to put an end to all the illegal activities within his jurisdiction, and he ends up facing corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Will he be able to establish a corrupt-free society is what the film is all about.

The film is a realistic take on how honest IAS officers work. The film has some similarities with the life of DK Ravi, but it cannot be called a biopic. On a whole, it can be said that the film is based on life of a honest IAS officer, who works for the welfare of people.

When it comes to performance of Sathish in the film, the actor has made justice to his character. Sonu Gowda, who has a less screenspace, has also performed well. Roger Narayan, Achyuth Kumar, Sardar Sathya, Mahantesh and Pawan Kumar impress with their negative roles.

Director Jacob Varghese has given another well made film after Puneeth Rajkumar starrer ‘Prithvi’. The director has done a great job in presenting a realistic film. The film is crisp with runtime of below 2 hours. Do watch the film, as it will definitely not disappoint anyone.
