Bajaj is here with a new motorcycle yet again. The Pune-based auto giant brings out the brand new Bajaj V15 with piece of history. It is said to be made from the decommissioned INS Vikrant metal. The exterior design of Bajaj V15 is something like a mix of a cruiser and a commuter motorcycle. If you are riding through traffic, you are surely going to experience a few heads turning to have a second look at the amazing machine. At the first glance, V15 would look like a single-seater cruiser. But there comes the surprise of a body-coloured removable seat cowl. The rear look of the bike is enticing with a clustered LED tail lamp.
High raised handle with appropriate seat position will give you a comfortable ride. The bike has a thunderous exhaust which will attract more number of youngsters.
The V15 has a 5-speed gear system, powered by a 150cc engine, single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 2 valve, air cooled, DTS-i which produces 12bhp at 7,500rpm and torque at 13Nm at 5,500rpm. Bajaj assures to give you a best fuel efficiency of 55kmpl. The ground clearance is 165 mm with a 1315 mm wheelbase.
The suspension system is good enough with telescopic in the front and gas filled twin spring hydraulic suspension at the rear. A small amount of noise emanates out of the rear suspension which we are sure the Bajaj guys will take care of in its next upgraded production.
V15 has made sure that there is a premium feel to the bike with five double spoke aluminum cast alloy wheels, front disk break, clear instrument panel and bold masculine graphics. The bike is available in two colours – Ebony Black and Pearl White.
Now comes the piece of history. The emblem of ‘Made With The Invincible Metal Of INS Vikrant’ is on the top of the fuel tank.
