Abu Dhabi: Telugu Kala Sravanthi , the largest socio – cultural organization of the Telugu community and Axon Housing Solutions Pvt. Ltd, one of the major Contracting Co’s in India have joined together to host ‘Triveni Swara Sangam’ a live concert by the legendary playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam, or SPB as he is popularly known, which is scheduled to take place on 23rd April 2015 at the National Theatre, Abu Dhabi.
This event will be presented by Lulu Group along with co-sponsors for this major event, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Ahalia Hospital, Al Haseena Jewellers, Network International and Country club.
Along with Dr. S P Balasubramanyam, the event will also feature celebrity singers S P Charan, Geeta Madhuri, Malavika and Mallikarjun. A 15 member orchestra is also being flown in from India especially for the event. The event will also feature local talent in a bid to provide an outlet for fresh talents to prove their skills on a major platform. The event will be an amalgamation of Telugu , couple of songs from Kannada and Tamil hits along with songs from Hindi and Malayalam.
Dr. S P Balasubrahmanyam is considered the most versatile playback singer in the world for the last 4 decades. His vocal talent is beyond comparison. Its little wonder that he has sung over 40,000 songs in the span of 40 years in different languages for different actors in the Indian film Industry, for which he has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Apart from being a legendary Indian playback singer he is an actor, music director, voice actor and film producer. He is the recipient of civilian awards such as Padmashri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011) from the government of India. SPB has sung in 14 regional languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Tulu, Oriya, Assamese, Badaga, Sanskrit, Konkini, Bengali, Marathi and Punjabi.
S P Balasubrahmanyam is performing at Abu Dhabi, after a hiatus of almost 7 years and the event is guaranteed to be a sellout show as the thespian’s visit to the capital city of the United Arab Emirates is long awaited.
