Dubai: The artistes for the  for the  ‘Sandalwood to Bollywood’ music-dance-comedy programme reached Dubai on Tuesday September 9.

They were given a warm welcome by the organization on the airport.  The programme will be held at the Sheikh Rashid auditorium in Indian High School, Dubai on Friday September 12 at 5.30 pm. The programme is being held to celebrate the the 22nd  anniversary of the Dubai Devadiga Association (UAE). The extravaganza is being organized by the association in partnership with Dubai Acme Building Materials.

Well-known playback singer Sinchan Dixit, singer Ravi Mururu (Bangalore), Ranjan Das (Mangalore), music director Rajgopal, convenor of the programme Madhu Mailankodi along with other artistes arrived at Dubai International Airport and the show’s host, Harish Sherigar, director of Dubai ACME Building Materials, who is also a singer and his wife Sharmila Sherigar welcomed them.

Popular artistes from Mumbai, Bangalore and the coastal area along with renowned singers of UAE Harish Sherigar, Akshata Rao, Melvin D’Souza, Joshal Sweeda D’Souza and others will entertain the audience. The singers will render Kannada, Hindi, Tulu and Konkani songs to entertain the gathering.

Gammat Kalavidar (Dubai) will perform a comedy show which will be followed by  dance performances by Pranavam Nyatyalaya crew under the direction of Prasanna Kumar.
