Puttur: The police in Puttur recently arrested four youngsters who were caught possessing a harmful weapon, which they carried in their car at the Kemminje village on the 19th of February.
It all began at a late night operation when the Puttur town police personnel found something suspicious about a car at the Makkrampady junction. His suspicion was confirmed when, on approaching the vehicle and conducting a search, he came back with a sword.
The police then took the four individuals Kishore (36) from Goltamajalu in Bantwal, Manoj (23) and Ashik (28) from Kabaka in Puttur and finally Saneth Kumar (24) from Padnur in Puttur in custody.
The police will now look into the matter through further investigation after which it will decide on the right legal action. Meanwhile, Puttur town police station has filed a case regarding the incident under section 25 (1B) (b) of the ARMS act. There will also be a hearing where the four will have to appear in court on the 20th of February.
