Shivamogga : A significant blaze erupted at a car showroom in Shivamogga, Karnataka, late Friday night, resulting in the destruction of six four-wheelers. Dramatic footage from the scene captured the vehicles inside the showroom being consumed by towering flames.
Officials from the district fire department responded swiftly to the incident, which occurred around 10 pm. Four fire tenders, along with personnel, were dispatched to the location to tackle the inferno.
“We received a distress call at approximately 10 pm. Our team, comprising four fire tenders, worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control, succeeding around 3 am,” stated Mahalingappa, the district fire officer.
Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or injuries during the incident. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit, although investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances.
In total, six vehicles sustained damage as a result of the fire. The authorities continue to probe the incident for further details.
