Mysuru: At a press meet here on Sunday, A H Vishwanath, who is well known for his satiric remarks said, “”I consider BJP leaders as semi-mad lot as the fully mad person either sleeps or keeps speaking intermittently, but semi-mad people never sleep and they keep on murmuring the whole day and night,” He strongly opposed the claim of  of BJP leaders to make India “Congress free”.

He went on to compare the Amit Shah, the BJP national president,  to priest of a village deity Mari temple and asked how it is possible for a person who looked like Mari temple priest by his postures and outlook can make India “Congress free”.

Vishwanath disagreed with the BJP leaders on the subject of the congress party. He said, “ it is not possible for, leave alone these BJP leaders even for anybody else to get rid of Congress. Congress is an institution unto itself and one cannot demolish an institution”. He pointed out how people thought that Congress will go into oblivion when Indira lost the elections in 1977, when Indira Gandhi died and when Raiiv Gandhi was assassinated.  However the party proved otherwise.

“Congress has its own inherent strength to get revived itself and time and again it has proved this belief right,” he added.
