Tourney set stage to exhibit inherent Talent: Shubha Poonja

Ramanagara: The cricket tournament that was organized for blind is helpful to explore their inherent talent, said the tourney brand ambassador sandalwood actor Shubha Poonja.

Shubha was speaking during the inaugural of state level cricket tournament for the blind and ASP Cup cricket tournament that was begun in district stadium, here.  Although the blind have other talents like anybody, gets exposed when they get right opportunities, said Shubha.  She also lauded the efforts of Samartanam organizations for organizing the cricket tourney and expressed happiness over for being their brand ambassador, said Shubha.

Speaking on the occasion, Samartanam Organization founder managing trustee G K Mahantesh said that every blind in the country should get a chance to play cricket, while the blind cricketers are the inspiration to normal bodies, said Mahantesh.

Mahantesh expressed concern over not having Kannadiga cricketers in Indian team, even though there were 7 cricketers from Karnataka in Indian team when G R Vishwanat headed the selection Committee of Indian cricket team.

ASP Developers chief S Bhagirata, Adichunchanagiri branch mutt secretary Annadaneshwaranat Swami, DC Srirama Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
