CM Siddu announces Residential Schools to Children of Construction Workers

Bangalore:The construction laborers form unorganized sector, while the state administration will set up five residential schools in across the state, in order to educate their children, said CM Siddaramaiah.

CM Siddaramaiah was speaking after inaugurating the state level massive convention of construction workers at palace grounds, here.

CM Siddaramaiah said that it was proposed to set up Karnataka Building Academy as memorial of Sir M Vishveshwarayya, at a cost of Rs 200 crore just like National Building Academy in New Delhi by union government, said CM Siddaramaiah.

Besides, four Kalyana Mantap will be set up at a cost of Rs 6 crore in Bangalore and each Kalyana Mantap in each district for the benefit of labourers, added CM Siddaramaiah.

CM Siddaramaiah felicitated 20 labourers for their extraordinary service in different industries.

KPCC labour division president S S Prakash presided the programme.

The state home minister K J George, former MP Sangliana, Tejasvini Ramesh, MLA D K Shivakumar, Narendra Babu and others were present on the occasion.
