Mysore : Various student organisations including the All India Democratic Students Organisation,  AIDYO, AIMSS, SFI, BVS and ABVP are up in arms against the  State government  following the reports that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s budgetary proposals favoured the Ahinda community.

They have also alleged that  the  backward class students are forced to pay full fees thereby doing injustice to them by  depriving them of fee concession.

A protest was staged by various student organizations in front of the DC office on February 19, Wednesday. Chandrashekhar, District President of All India Democratic Youth Organisation  said though earlier all backward class students hailing from economically weaker families  were exempted from tuition fees, exam fees, lab fees and sports fees, as per the new rule,  only those   who have  secured a particular percentage of marks could  avail the facility.
