H D Kote: The Block Education Officer (BEO) served a notice to a school principal seeking clarifications over serving non-vegetarian food to staff during a send-off ceremony in the school premises on July 5.

During noon, the children at St. Mary’s Church School (CBSE) in the town were served usual mid-day meals but the employees gathered in the staff-room to relish non-vegetarian food. Staff members were served non-vegetarian food as part of send-off party to one of its colleague who got transferred to other school on wednesday, it is gathered. Media reported the incident and soon after BEO Uday Kumar visited the school.

He met the church priest in charge of school administration, collected all the details on the incident and served a notice to school principal seeking clarifications.
