K R Nagar:As part of rural Dasara celebrations, different traditional games were held in the open grounds in the city and at the ground located nearby pump house, in the outskirts of city.
The hundreds of men and women participated in rural games competitions and enjoyed the outdoor besides won prizes.
Under the men’s tug-of-war competitions, Prashant from Hosagrahara won the first prize, Bharat from Kuppe village won the second prize and Surendra Kumar from Kedaga village won the third prize. In traditional short put competition, Venkatesh from K R Nagar won the first prize, Prashant Kumar from Hosagrahara won the second prize and P Mahesh from Madhuvanahalli won the third prize.
Venkatesh from K R Nagar won the first prize running-by-carrying a sack of 50 kilogram of chemical fertilizer, Prashant Kumar of Hosagrahara won the second place and Raghavendra from Kamachugara Koppalu village won the third prize.
In the women running with a vessel-full of water competition, Nagina Banu from Miller village won the first place, Roopa Satish from K R Nagar won the second place and Aisha won the third place.
In the Rangoli competition, Cheluvamba from K R Nagar won the first place, P B Bharati won the second place and Shweta won the third place. In the women’s tug-of-war competitions, Radha and group from K R Nagar won the first place, Rekha and group won the second place.
TP CEP K Basavaraju, assistant agriculture director Dr Somashekar, CDPO Sadashivappa, revenue department officer Mahadev and other department officers, were present on the occasion.
