Bangalore: A co-ordinating Committee being formed at the leadership of Digvijay Singh, in order foster better co-ordination with AICC chairperson, the state government and KPCC, at the view of forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The ministerial-berth deprived D K Shivakumar was privileged to be a member in the Committee and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar was appointed as the convener.
CM Siddaramaiah, AICC secretary Dr Chellakumar who overseas the responsibility of Congress party in Karnataka and the state home minister K J George were appointed as members of Committee.
AICC chief secretary Janardhan Dwivedi issued a statement in this regard, stating that a Committee was formed in to be better co-ordinate with the party and the government.
The names of Committee members were shortlisted after long discussions of nearly 3-months. It has been a measure in order to curb the migrants from Janata Parivar into Congress party and maintain the interests of long-time Congressmen.
Whatever decision CM Siddaramaih has been taking it is based on the advices of Janata Parivar, while this new development in Congress with put an end to one sided decisions.
