Chamarajanagara: At the joint aegis of Karnataka Komu Sowharda Vedike, All India Christian Council and district councilors Committee, a protest was staged in front of the office of district administration here on Thursday September 26, condemn ing the atrocities on women of Lambani tribe, Christians and minority community.
The protesters gathered in front of CSI church and held a rally along the main streets and staged sit-in in front of the office of district administration.
The protesters condemned the atrocities on a certain woman Sannamma, a native of Kolipalya, near here – belonging to Lambani tribe for trusting Jesus Christ, by several men and a few women of Kolipalya village, who assaulted her mercilessly parading naked. The protesters also urged the law enforcement agencies to take stringent action on the accused.
Thousands of activists of Samata Sainik Dal,Karnataka Christian Dalit Federation, Karnataka Christara Rakshana Vedike, Jayakarnataka Mahila Sangh, Komu Souharda Samiti, Popular Front of India, CSI, PUCL, Dalit Sangarsha Samiti, Karnataka state Raita Sangh Hasiru Sene, BVS, BSP Christian Federation were present on the occasion.
