Mysore : The Raitha Sangha and the Hasiru Sene is sore over the government as well as the district administration for not coming to the aid of the farmers who are suffering from various problems.


The activists of the two organisations staged a dharna in front of the DC office here on Tuesday May 6. Addressing the protestors, Badagalapura Narenda, State General Secretary of the Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene said the administration has been apathetic towards farmers and also alleged that the departments concerned too have turned a blind eye to their problem.
Their demand was to immediately release funds for the Kabini drinking water project sanctioned for Jayapura, Gopalapura, Mullur, D Salundi, Nagarthahalli, Talur, Dhanagalli, Kenchalagudu, Sinduvalli, Dadadagalli and K Salundi villages in Mysore taluk. They also demanded the revival of the lake in Harohalli of HD Kote Hampapura Hobali.
KS Nanjundegowda, State Organising Secretary of the Sangha, Hosakote Basavaraju, District General Secretary, K Kempe Gowda, Treasurer and others were present.
