Protests in Mysore against hike in KSRTC bus fares

Mysore : Activists of the  BJP and the Mysore Kannada Vedike  staged protests in different parts of the city on Monday May 5  to condemn the  decision of the KSRTC to hike bus fares.

 

The BJP workers who  staged a protest near the Gandhi Circle alleged that the fare hike has hit hard the common man who is already reeling due to rise in prices of essential commodities. They have demanded that the fare hike be immediately revoked.

Maruti Rao Pawar, President of the local unit of BJP, Yashaswini Somashekhar, General Secretary, Dinesh, Nagendra and other were part of the protest.

The Kannada Vedike activists  staged a protest in front of the city bus stand  and alleged that the government was pursuing anti-people policies soon after elections.

Vedike President Balakrishna , members Elaneeru Kumar, Parisara Chandru, Babu Mohan and others were part of the protest.
