Mangalore:  An accident on the bridge towards National Highway 66 claimed the life of two persons on Tuesday May 6.

It is learnt that a truck carrying a rice consignment was on its way to Kerala from Karkala, when the accident took place.

Reportedly as the road was precipitous the driver lost his balance. He crashed into the side of the road causing the vehicle to flip.

The Ullal police station has registered a case. Due to the accident the traffic was disrupted for some time.
