Mysuru: To fight for women’s justice, Premakumari, who was second division clerk at the Deputy Commissioners office in Tumkur is entering politics and contesting the election as an independent candidate.
Addressing media persons at Press Club here on Tuesday, Premakumari said, “I am facing a lot of hardship due to threats to my life from various goons but yet, till I get justice I will fight. I have faith in judiciary and have hopes that justice will prevail. Women are going through a lot of issues. Hence for their welfare I have decided to enter politics and fight to get them justice. People think that with money and political power they can do anything. No, it’s not possible. Judiciary is there is protect the people.”
“I am not joining any national or regional party but will be contesting as an independent candidate. Soon I will be announcing the date,” she added.
