Mysuru: Traffic police were seen booking several pillon riders on the first day of making the helmet wearing rule mandatory for pillion riders in Mysuru. Shockingly, a police officer was seen riding with a pillon rider who wasn’t wearing a helmet.
After the police officer violated the helmet rule, several onlookers opined that the rule is meant only for public not for police.

On the first day, several riders were booked for violating the helmet rule and were fined. Few managed to escape avoiding the fine.

City police commissioner B Dayanand has said that first time riders who break norms will be fined with Rs 100, second time Rs 300, while third time offenders will face cancellation of their drivers licence.
