Mysuru: In a tragic incident a couple died after a truck ran over them on Bogadi Ring road in Mysuru on Monday.

Kodandaramu(45) and Hemavathi(35) from Kottegala in HD Kote are the deceased.

The incident occured when Hemavathi was crossing the signal at Bogadi ring raod and speeding truck ran over her killing on spot. Kodandaramu who suffered severe injuries died while on the way to hospital.

The truck driver managed to escape from the spot. Kuvempunagar police have seized the truck and have launched a manhunt to nab the driver.

Locals have alleged that the over speeding truck was the reason for the accident. They also lashed out at the traffic police at the signal for failing to take necessary action.
