Mangaluru: Three youth were arrested by the Konaje police on charges of ganja peddling and consumption on Monday, February 1. About one kg ganja was seized from them.

The arrested are Roshan Nikesh Menezes (24), Simple Kumar (24) and Prakash D’Souza (23).

Based on a tip-off, the police raided the house of Simple Kumar and caught the three red-handed.

Simple Kumar’s mother works as a maid. She visits the house once a week. Kumar who is alone most of the time, used to call his friends over to smoke up, police sources said. They also used to sell ganja packets, mainly to college students, it is said.

The police are on the hunt for Jason (25), hailing from Panjimogeru. He is said to be the one who used to supply ganja to Kumar.

Investigations are underway.
