Mysuru:  “We are in a relationship for the past 12 years. I cannot live without him. I have convinced my parents and have decided to marry him.” This is the statement of a Hindu girl Ashitha whose decision to marry a muslim youth which has been widely opposed by Bajarang Dal in Mandya.

“My parents approved for our marriage after I introduced my boyfriend to them. I have convinced his parents too. You can check our SMS’s to know how much we have struggled to convince our parents,” she said.

“My boyfriend had told me that such obstacles and problems would arise but I personally told him that whatever be the issue we would face it. After our assurance he agreed for marriage. How can these protesters guarantee that they would come to help me if I marry some other guy. I will not live without him and I want to marry him.”

“There is no meaning in slogans like love jihad which are raised by the protesters. I will not marry anyone except him. A girl after marriage has to live according to the customs and traditions followed by her husband’s family. I will follow it,” she said.
