Online facility to issue caste, income certificates inaugurated

Mysore : A new scheme of providing caste and income certificates to students at schools and colleges itself was inaugurated   here on March 4, Tuesday by Revenue Minister V Srinivas Prasad. He also inaugurated the online facility of various services at the Atalji Janasnehi Kendra. The function was held at the Abdul Nazeer Auditorium of Zilla Panchayat under the joint auspices of the Revenue Department,  Directorate of Atalji Jana Snehi Kendra and District Administration.

Ponnuraj,   Commissioner of Revenue Department and Director of Land Survey and Records Department said the new online facility of issuing  necessary certificates has been introduced to bring about reforms in the system. The  facility will be extended to village level in the days to come, he informed.

He also said it has been decided to decentralise the  services of Bhoomi Kendras  from taluk level to Hobali level and the scheme will be  implemented throughout the state by 2014 end.

The applications for caste and income certificates can be submitted online, he said.

On this occasion, the process of issuing PR Cards was also initiated.

Deputy Commissioner C Shikha, Additional DC Archana, Regional Commissioner Jayanthi,  MUDA Commissioner Palaiah,  ZP President M Mahadeva and other officials were present.
