Mysore: The ten-day Dasara Utsav was concluded with colorful display of oil-fed torch lights at the grounds located near Bannimantap, here on Monday night.
The gymnastics of Karnataka police indeed managed to captivate the viewers with their daring acts holding torch lights.
Governor Hamsaraj Bharadwaj accepted salute at the venue from the horse mounted policemen, reserved police, armed police, scouts and guides, NCC cadets of army, navy and air wings accompanied by police brass band.
The armed police fired 21 shots in the air to convey the state honor, followed by singing of Kannada anthem and national anthem.
The Indian armed forces soldiers mounted on motorcycles displayed different adventurous stunts that the viewers watched with awe. The Bharatanatyam show, Yakshagana play and Koochupudi dance shows were also mesmerized the viewers. The laser show depicting the state sponsored social welfare programme drew the attraction of viewers.
The trainee policemen undergoing training at Police Training School, located at Yelahanka, Bangalore displayed spectacular drill holding oil-fed torch lights that displayed the words Jay Hind, welcome, Happy Dasara etc. The extravagant display of fireworks indeed drew the curtain for Dasara Utsav.
