Mysore : BJP workers staged a protest in the town on January 10, Friday to condemn the attack on Madikeri District BJP President Suja Kushalappa.


Party workers who gathered at Gandhi Chowk shouted slogans denouncing the assailants who fired at Kushalappa and urged the police to arrest them at the earliest. They also demanded a thorough investigation into the case.
Maruthi Rao Pawar, town unit BJP President, Yashaswini Somashekhar, General Secretary, Mallappa Gowda, Shivakumar, Prem Kumar and other party leaders were present.
In the meantime, the protestors thrashed a person named Najeem who was videographing the protest without permission. He was later handed over to the police. It is learnt, he was an SDPI activist and a BBM student of JSS College of Commerce. The intention behind him videographing the protest is not known.
