Karkala : The Prakruti Group of Educational Institutions at Sanoor in Karkala taluk celebrated their annual day ‘Prakruti Sambhrama-2 on January 7.

















Karkala Rural ASI Mahadeva Shetty hoisted the flag on the occasion and exhorted the student community to be disciplined and patriotic. Prof. Padmanabha Gowda, senior Lecturer also spoke.
Gananath Ekkar who was the chief guest at the annual day celebrations, said the students of today make good citizens of tomorrow. He also called upon students to excel by pursuing studies with interest.
Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation also spoke as a chief guest. Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC, S.S. Shinda, Deputy Director of the Udupi District Pre-University Education Department. Gopal Bhandari, former MLA, Umanath Kotian, former president of Tulu Academy, Shanthi Prasad Hegde, noted advocate of Moodbidri and others spoke on the occasion.
Prameela Jain who won third rank in MSc(Mathematics) of Mangalore University, Asif, talented Karatekar, Anekanth Prashanth who has been selected for state level chess tourney and Ayush Shetty, talented badminton player who won in the Udupi district rural badminton championship, were honoured.
Prizes were distributed to students who won prizes in various contests. Students also presented a variety of cultural programmes.
Gerald Crasta, Chairman of Prakruti Group of Institutions, Helen Crasta, Secretary, Ashok Kumar K, Administrative Officer, Raghavendra Shenoy, Principal and others were present.
