Mysore bids good bye to jumbo squad

Mysore : There was a touching farewell for the jumbo squad which took part in the Jambu Savari of the world famous Mysore Dasara celebrations. The  pachyderms which had camped in the palace grounds since one month are returning to their hometowns on October 16.

The Mahouts and their families who too had Mysore their home for the past one and a half months bid good bye to the city on Thursday. Elephants from Dubare camp, Nagarahole Thithimathi camp, Balle camp, Bandipur and Khyatedevara Gudda (K Gudi) camps  had arrived for the Mysore Dasara.

Arjuna, the favourite of all  who had won everyone’s hearts too has returned to his  original camp.
