Mysore : The direct flight services between Mysore and Bangalore which  had been suspended some time back, will be resumed from February one onwards.  The Spice Jet will be operating the flights  keeping in mind the interests of businessmen and tourists who frequently shuttle between the two cities.

It is also believed that the flight services would boost the Mysore tourism. Already there is direct flight service on the Mysore-Chennai sector.

A travel by road from Mysore to  Bangalore  will take a minimum of five hours, while the flight would reach its destination in 55 minutes.

Mysore Airport Director C Manjunath has confirmed that flight services on Mysore-Bangalore sector would resume  on February 1.

As of now  the Mysore-Chennai flights are full by 50 per cent  and the commencement of Mysore-Bangalore flight services are expected to  increase the demand for  the Mysore-Chennai  flight  at least by 10 to 15 per cent.
