Mangalore: In connection to the murder of a woman from Kerala in a lodge at KS Rao Road, the Bunder police has arrested a man and produced him in the court on Thursday January 23.

The alleged has been identified as 60-year-old K Ravindran a resident of Taliparamba near Kannur in Kerala.

According to the sources, the police have also recovered the jewelry of the deceased woman from the accused.

It may be recalled that the body of the deceased woman Elikutty, a resident of Alakod near Payyanur in Kannur district of Kerala was found in a decomposed state in the lodge on January 17.

During the investigation the police found that the jewelry of the woman was missing whereas they also found a photograph of a man in her bag through which they nabbed him.

Under the direction of the commissioner of the police and the Bunder SI Ramakrishna along with other police staff cracked the case. Further investigation is on.
