Mysore : Minister for Railways D V Sadananda Gowda here on Sunday July 13 said that work on doubling the railway track between Mysore and Bangalore will be completed and service along the line will begin by March 2015.
The project slowed down due to many problems including shifting of Tipu’s armoury at Srirangapatna and land acquisition constraints at Maddur in Mandya district.
The railway line along the stretch of Tipu’s armoury will not be doubled. Train timings will be adjusted to ensure the safe passage of trains along the tracks, the minister informed.
