Bantwal :The roofing of a house at Ukkuda Darbe near Vittal Kasba village collapsed on Tuesday July 15  afternoon due to incessant rains. The loss has been estimated at Rs 50,000.

The house belonged to Nebisa. Her mother and daughter were in the house when the incident took place. Nebisa’s husband Badruddin was away in the town. The couple’s son  Ashif is an autorickshaw driver in the town.

Apart from the tile roofs, even the ceilings and wall  of the house have been damaged. The incident has left the poor family shattered.
