MK Somashekhar demands action against minister Ramdas for poll code violation

Mysore : MK Somashekhar, Congress candidate from KR Constituency as well as former MLA has said that the failure of the Deputy Commissioner of Mysore who is also the District Election Officer to  initiate action against State Minister Ramdas who is facing allegation of violation of poll code of conduct, has given room for doubts. The minister had earlier been accused of trying to woo voters by arranging a luncheon in a farm.

Addressing reporters, Somashekhar said though action followed against the  farm owners Manjunath and Ranjan, no action had been taken against the minister. He further appealed to the governor to disqualify Ramdas as a minister.

Applications are also being distributed to poor with a promise of houses, he said and alleged that the DC has not taken any action.

Former mayors Narayan, Ananthu, Zakir Pasha and others were present.
