Congress releases poll manifesto Vision Udupi -2025

Udupi : The  election manifesto of the Congress for Udupi assembly constituency namely  Vision Udupi 2025 was released  on April 22, Monday. The manifesto has outlined various developmental programmes which the party has chalked out for Udupi assembly constituency limits in case it comes to power. The party also intends to distribute the manifesto booklet to all voters. Krishna Hegde, MLA from Mumbai and party observer, released the  manifesto.

Speaking to reporters, Pramod Madhwaraj, Congress candidate  from Udupi and the Udupi  Block Congress President, said  the Congress wants Udupi to be developed as a model constituency. He said the manifesto speaks about various developmental projects which would ensure that Udupi is made a model constituency.

Continuing, he said  the manifesto promises round the clock water supply throughout the year and also modern bridges and roads. Priority would also be given for tourism, fishing industry as well as education and health sectors, he said.

The Manifesto further  promises a super specialty hospital at a cost of Rs 500 crores for Udupi. The solid waste management system would also be improved , he said.

Congress leaders including  Yatish Karkera, Diwaker Kunder, Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje  and others were present on the occasion.
