Mysore : Believe it or not this Great Dane dog  is real expensive. His value has been put at Rs 24 lakh making him the most expensive dog in the  country. The Great Dane  belonging to Sanjay Kapoor from  New Delhi was the cynosure of all eyes at the All India Championship Dog Show, organized by the Mysore Kennel Club at the Dasara exhibition grounds on August 25, Sunday.

Nearly 400 dogs of as many as  40 breeds like Miniature Pinscher, Belgian Shepherd, Beagle, Great Dane, Dachshund, Pug, Collie, Chow Chow, Irish Setter, Siberian Husky, Boxer and Bulldog  participated in the show. The St. Bernard dog  and the Mudhol Hound also attracted crowds.The event was organised by the Mysore Kennel Club.

Dr M.A. Saleem, City Police Commissioner inaugurated the show. Dr. B.C. Ramakrishna, Patron of the Club, Dr. P.V. Yathinder, President, Dr. D.T. Jayaramaiah, Hon. Secretary, B.P. Manjunath, President of Canine Club of Mysore and others were present.

Participants had arrived from Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Calicut and other places.
