Mandya: Independent candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, Sumalatha Ambareesh slammed Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, here on Saturday, March 30 for his comment, “Sumalatha has no pain of losing her husband.”

Addressing a rally in Keelara village, she said that there were several women like her who had lost their husbands and the CM too has women at home.

“The pain of losing my husband is understood by every woman. CM HDK has dishonoured the CM chair by speaking ill about a widow and I am here, mingling with people, to forget my pain. I never shed tears in front of anyone”, she added.

Sumalatha said that she would never forget the people of Mandya, as they had and were supporting her in tough times.

Meanwhile, Sumalatha was welcomed and supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress party party workers with the waving of their respective party flags.
