Mangaluru: “People should decide whether they want those elected representatives who operate and earns through pubs and ladies clubs or the person who comes up with different developmental works for the district”, said Bharatiya Janata Party’s District Election In-charge and Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar on Saturday, March 30.

He was addressing a ‘page pramukh’ workers’ meet organised at Guruvayanakere in Belthangady taluk. Sunil Kumar said, “There is not a single corruption charge against Nalin Kumar Kateel and he has taken up several developmental works for the Dakshina Kannada district. Referring to the surgical strike by Indian Air Force (IAF), Sunil Kumar said, “While all countries are backing India and justifying its surgical strike, the opposition party is questioning the move of the government. The BJP candidate Nalin, addressing the gathering, claimed that he had succeeded in bringing over Rs 16,520 Crore for the development of the district under various schemes. “I have not indulged in any goonda activities so far and tried my level best to execute my duties”, he added.

Belthangady MLA Hareesh Poonja while delivering the introductory speech, said that the party workers have been striving hard to re-elect Narendra Modi as the prime minister once again. “The Belthangady taluk alone would secure 50,000 lead to Nalin Kumar Kateel this time”, he opined.
