Mandya: Some men suspected to be burglars have poisoned many canines in Dwarakanagar area of Mandya perhaps to make easy the execution of their crime.

Two canines died of food poisoning two days ago in the posh locality where the city’s affluent reside and there are more than 9-10 canine deaths reported in the area, since one week.

The burglars’ plans were being repeatedly foiled by the alert and ferocious canines which forced the men on the hunt to poison them. Most canines were poisoned during the night hours and found dead the next morning.

A complaint has been lodged in Mandya Rural Police Station with regard to the canine deaths and investigation in progress to extract more details on the unnatural deaths.
